PANEL ONE: Setting the Scene

What’s the best combination (team) for your event?

Representatives from an event management company, a venue, an AV company / caterer and a venue finding agent will outline what they see as their role in the pitching process and then give a very brief outline of their ongoing role in the delivery of an event should they be selected.

The panel will consist of a representative from:

  • An event planner
  • An event management company
  • A venue finding agency
  • A venue
  • An AV company

Session Two

PANEL TWO: The Brief

Using a live example, our panel members will discuss the importance of an accurate brief and how this helps them to correctly meet the needs of the end user and ultimately avoid shortfalls or possible issues on the day.

At the end of this session panellists will be asked to briefly summarise how they select the companies they would shortlist to pitch.

Session Three

PANEL THREE: Who influences the final decision

Representatives from an event management company, a venue finding agency, a public sector organisation and a private sector organisation will discuss how much influence they have in the final decisions made on the selection of suppliers, on what basis this is made and how qualified they are to make these recommendations.

The panel will consist of a representative from:

Session Four

PANEL Four: Feedback and Evaluation

The final panel will explore the importance of giving feedback and evaluation to the unsuccessful suppliers and how this needs to be accurate against the initial brief.  In addition, our panellists representing an event management company, venue finding agency, end users will discuss how they continue to evaluate the delivery of the event.
